Roaster's Living World
A modular progression and community system for DayZ — making the map feel like a world that responds to the people surviving in it.
Overview
Make the world remember.
Roaster's Living World is a modular progression and community system for DayZ, designed to make the map feel less like a static backdrop and more like a world that responds to the people surviving in it.
Across Medical, Engineering, Hunter, Provisioner and Explorer areas, survivors can discover mission boards, take on practical assignments, contribute desperately needed supplies and build trust through their actions. Progress is shared where it makes sense — a community can recover because players worked together — while each survivor also develops their own reputation and personal standing.
But RLW is about more than completing missions.
As communities move from abandoned and struggling toward stable, supplied and thriving, the world around them can change as well. Locations can begin to look maintained again. Supplies and support become available. New work can emerge. Previously neglected areas can slowly show signs of recovery. What players do today can leave something behind for the survivors who arrive tomorrow.
Tasks are built around the world itself rather than traditional MMO-style quest menus. Players visit physical locations, investigate scenes, recover supplies, repair problems, follow clues and report their findings through boards placed naturally around the map. Some assignments are shared community efforts, while others are personal stories and trust-based work that unfold individually for each survivor.
Server owners remain in control of how that world is built. Locations, boards, missions, progression, rewards, supplies and settlement behaviour are designed to be configurable, allowing RLW to become part of an existing server rather than forcing the server to become something else.
At its heart, Roaster's Living World is about consequence, recovery and belonging.
You are not simply passing through the world.
You are leaving it a little different than you found it.
